ingredients
Potassium sorbate
9.0%
- Acts as an antimicrobial preservative by dissolving into water to release sorbic acid, which inhibits the growth of mold, yeast, fungi, and aerobic bacteria
- It interferes with the transport proteins and metabolic enzymes within the microorganisms, halting their ability to reproduce and grow
- Prevents spoilage, heating, and nutrient loss in stored, high-moisture bales
Sodium benzoate
6.6%
- Acts as a potent antifungal and antibacterial agent
- Penetrates microbial cells, lowering their internal pH to 5 or lower, which disrupts metabolic functions and prevents microbial proliferation
- Inhibits the growth of spoilage microorganisms like mold and bacteria
